  • What should I do to prepare for boat/yacht for winterization?

First, clean your boat or yacht. Be sure to wash both the interior and exterior, taking care to remove as much grime, salt, and algae as possible.

Perform routine maintenance like changing the oil filter, flushing it out, and adding fresh oil. If you live in an area where temperatures drop below freezing, use antifreeze in your cooling system. Fogging oil will also help to prevent rust and corrosion on any moving parts.

Finally, add a fuel stabilizer to protect the tank from freezing condensation.
